Midterm Outline

Here are the areas for the midterm:

Spanish 2.0 Midterm Exam Outline 2014

The midterm exam will have listening, reading, writing and speaking sections. Please study the following material to prepare. 

Present tense stem-changing verbs
Tú commands (negative and affirmative)
Direct and indirect object pronouns (with commands)
Preterite tense (regular and irregular verbs)
Vocabulary - Unit 1 Lesson 1, Unit 1 Lesson 2, Unit 2 Lesson 1 

week of Nov.18-22

We have been working with the preterite tense this week. All students received a packet that has all of the Preterite irregulars in it. We will work with this through conversation and writing about a trip. Next week the students will have a quiz on the basic verb endings and stem changers.

Oct. 21-Oct. 25th

This week we will be working on Direct and Indirect object pronouns. We have taken notes in class on the placement and uses of these. We will also be practicing our listening and reading skills in class.

week of 9/14-9/17

This week is Spanish class students are completing a verbal presentation on travel arrangements. We will also be talking about direct object pronouns and completing practice activities in listening and reading. Next week we will begin Lección 2 in Chapter 1 which relates to indirect object pronouns, Preterite tense and more Costa Rican Culture.

week of Oct.7-11

We have started to work with formal and informal commands and are trying to apply this to our current vocabulary. Our goal is to be able to talk about planning a trip and about air travel. Also this week we will be starting object pronouns and applying these to commands both affirmative and negative.

On Thursday of this week, October 10th students will be having a vocabulary quiz on the words below.

week of 9/22-9/26

We are finishing up with our present tense unit. In this unit we covered a review of the present tense, gustar like verbs, stem changing verbs and present tense irregulars. Last week (period 7) had a stem changing verb quiz and a listening quiz too. Period 8 will be doing their quiz on Tuesday.

This week we will get in another speaking assignment where students use the present tense verbs in conversation.

On Thursday I hope to quiz the students one more time on the verb meanings. Attached is the PDF of the packet that students have. Students should review and know all meaning of the verbs on pages 3 and 4.

week of 9/9-9/13

Students will be having a verb definitions quiz this week (Tuesday). Also do on Tuesday is the "shape poem". On (Thursday) students will be completing a presentation about their interests/family. We will be moving on in the packet and working with stem-changing verbs this week
